This Generation Is Doomed - Aadilah

I have never done this before and I don't know much about music. This is the first time I'm writing for a blog and it's a little intimidating. So please excuse the occasional attempts at humour. I shall try being sensibly funny :D

For me YouTube is a haven, a sanctuary. It's the place where I learn about, speak to and watch amazing (innovative and inspirational and awesome and creative) people but with the popularisation of YouTube I feel this world being sabotaged. The AIB roast was released recently ||hilariously offensive some say|| (I personally stick to good old Russell Peters). All the people who were unaware about the existence of YouTubers until prior to the AIB Roast release, are now behaving like they are the co-founders of this website. It's like the Fault In Our Stars all over again!! 14 year olds saying "that is the most beautiful book I have ever read!"

 
Well I'll tell you why it's the most beautiful book you've ever read… because that's the only book you've EVER read!!

(Seriously the hype is inducing insanity).

Sorry, I deviate from the topic real quick (sorry for the criticism too). However, I -being an avid reader- can say that there are thousands of better books out there you just need to look in the right places (and chose the right ones). (But really people publicising their opinion about things they barely know about NOT COOL!)

Talking about not cool.. Those selfie shoes!!!!   I think that is just another article on the list of banned items in concerts (direct reference to selfie sticks and weapons of mass destruction). Speaking of selfies (my autocorrect keeps changing selfies to studies! My exams just got over for God's sake‼) I genuinely think that people nowadays have dropped their standards of beauty to surgically altered asses (pun intended) and snaps edited with extra exposure and extra extra lightness (so much light! I feel like I'm staring directly at a Phillips Light bulb) not to forget less of face more of.. all else. Seriously, those highly disproportionate body parts gross me out. I find it degrading to women, it's like they are willingly objectifying themselves to fit into the current fake standards of beauty set by people who barely respect our integrity.

And the songs nowadays! All they have is booty booty booty! It's almost like

But again, that is just my opinion
Oh I just got a HP parody idea!!

Ok that's sounds horribly wrong o_O but I meant it in the most pure and clean HP adoring way.

So, don't you think that people nowadays hype anything!? Literally anything! That dress for instance, nobody wanted to know the answer behind it but they couldn't stop questioning it's existence. (If you don't already know the science behind it there : https://youtu.be/AskAQwOBvhc ). Also those lists that are going around on Facebook! it's all either too obvious (dude!!! That shit is so obvious, it can be understood by a single nerve cell that belongs to someone like KRK) or too useless! The lists are all :

21 things every girl must have in her purse (firstly, purses are uncomfortable. Secondly, they are uncomfortably small, hence keeping 21 things in a 25 cm × 15 cm area is not possible!! Thirdly, I shit you not! Tampons and pepper spray were not on the list !) 

Hence, I say in a real solemn and surreal voice "This generation is doomed"

But there is good news!! There might be another planet out there! NASA says by 2025 we shall find another planet with different beings living a life that is a lot more intelligent than ours, hopefully they'll rescue us. I shall stare at the sky every night hoping to witness their much awaited descent.

I guess we are all aware about the "My Choice" video, a good initiative I must say but also they did it all wrong. I mean the response videos were comparatively a lot more creative and accurate. Don't get me wrong, I am a 17 year old girl who is all for feminism and empowering women. But according to me their message and execution was not convincing. Neither was it promoting womanhood in the right manner nor did it reach the target audience who must be aware of their rights. Publicity stunt I guess.

IPL has begun and the theme song is going to be ringing on all of our TV Sets at least 25 times in a day.

(That was because Katy Perry performed for one of the opening events.. My reference fell flat on it's face, right!?) Anyways, Indian cricket has stuff greatly out of proportion. (Football is way way way better). Indian cricket is all promotion, controversy, celebrity involvement, etc in a nutshell too much Hindi serial drama.

Speaking about nutshell..

I just had to!!! Because Benny is ahhmazing and Hiddlebatch is all I want (almost all I want).
