It's my soulmate's birthday, today.
A soulmate not in the romantic sense of the word, but on a much deeper, metaphysical level.
I discovered Mr. Kerouac's writings last summer, and must I say that it has comforted me in my times of turbulence. My favorite book by him (so far) is 'On The Road '.I haven't completed reading the book, yet. No, I am not a slow reader, I just cannot comprehend completing the expedition we'd undertaken, since I read the very first chapter.
I might have sounded foolish and naive, for I can read and re read the book, but I just cannot get myself to thoroughly complete it. I will, someday, hopefully.
Another favorite of mine is "The Scripture Of The Golden Eternity". (Yes, I have read it entirely).
It challenges, confuses, contradicts, your entire thought process. It's simply meaninglessly meaningful.
