July Favourites

July has treated me well, with my college fest's preparation going in full swing, meeting new faces and discovering new music; movies and books.

The following are my top ten songs for the month of July.
I love all the songs, only because the lyrics are like poetry in motion. Absolutely beautiful.
(I've updated the music player's playlist on this blog to the top 10 songs. Hope you guys enjoy it)

1) Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel.

Simply love the simplicity of the soothing piano and beautiful lyrics.

2) Wild Horses - The Rolling Stones.
Jagger's voice hits you right in the feels.

3) Blush - Wolf Alice.
I love the chorus, " Punch drunk ; dumb struck ; pot luck; happy happy".
There's something about this video, that makes me want to hit that replay button again and again.

4) Champagne Year - St. Vincent.
Could Annie get any more perfect?
P.S : I ship Annie and Cara.

5) Strange Mercy- St. Vincent.
(Honestly, all the songs on the album 'Strange Mercy' are remarkable)

6)Don't Look Back In Anger - Oasis.
Absolutely. Love. The. Lyrics.

7) ) Ignition - R Kelly
My morning jam.
That's literally me every morning.

8) Watch Me (Whip/ Nae Nae) - Silento
If you're judging me on how my playlist stooped from indie to hip hop, well this song is so catchy. It reminds me of Soulja Boy's "Superman", but damn the dance moves!
*sings ' now watch me whip, now watch me nae nae' *

9)Your Loves Whore- Wolf Alice
Although this is not the original video for the soundtrack, there's a certain appeal to it which makes the lyrics even more meaningful. Maybe it's the vintage tone loving.

10) Forever - Jesse And The Rippers
Although the original soundtrack is by "The Beachboys", I love the "Jesse and The Rippers" version better. For those who love 'Full House', they're bringing the show back with a twist, calling it "The Fuller House". (I doubt it'll be as good as the original. As long Kimmy Gibbler's there, it's going to be a one heck of a journey.)

Movie Of The Month
God Help The Girl.
SIMPLY. LOVE. THE. MOVIE.

I'm in love with all the soundtracks from this movie. This movie revolves around three friends whose passion for music and art leads them to form a band, until there's a bit of a twist.
Absolutely love Emily Browning's voice, Olly's adorable personality and Hannah Murray's chic style.
I hope this movie turns into a classic someday.
A Must Watch.

Hope you liked it.
See you until my next post.
