Well the following is my interpretation of the song as well as the video
Shia tries to get close to his daughter, but is afraid that he might loose here as well due to his antics.
And I wanted it, I wanted it bad
But there were so many red flags
Now another one bites the dust
Yeah let's be clear, I'll trust no one
He wanted the relationship to work, at least for the sake of their daughter, but well it turned out to be quiet bitter (red flags symbolizing too many dangers).
And now he has come to a conclusion,that he would trust no one.

Here You refers to his daughter, for he knows that he should exist for his daughter. He wants to make peace with himself.
In the video Shia is seen carefully army crawling towards his daughter , in order to develop a father-daughter rapport, but as soon as he knows that she is going to bombard him with questions about her mother, Shia is seen running away from. For he knows he cannot face reality.

But Your Blade, It Might Be Too Sharp stating that maybe its his daughter that can find her way through his heart.
In the video Shia is seen climbing through the bars of the cage ,moving towards its center , so high that his daughter is unable to reach him.

At this very part of the song, Shia is seen letting go of his grip and falling down over his daughter.
He is willing to hurt himself and go through all the pain, only to understand and love his daughter.

Witnessing all the conflicts and madness in the house( so called cage) Maddie, leaves it, and is seen teasing Shia, who only gets more and more angry.
Maddie is then seeing entering the cage again, and doing a back flip landing on Shias back which according to me indicates that " I'm you're backbone."
Both of them are then seen enjoying a fun loving father daughter relationship .She fixes the broken pieces of her father, and then lets go of him at the end for she has to fight his struggle on his own.
